Commercial Rooftop Solar | Education-Driven | Values-Based

About Buffalo Solar

At Buffalo Solar, our mission is bold and crystal clear, power 1,000 businesses with clean, reliable solar energy by 2035.

We specialize in commercial and industrial rooftop solar solutions that help companies cut operating costs, lock in predictable energy expenses, and meet long-term sustainability goals. Every project we deliver is designed to perform as a true business asset, driving savings, stability, and growth for decades to come.

Founded in Buffalo, NY, Buffalo Solar was built from the ground up by Founder and CEO, Tyler Uebelhoer. With more than a decade of experience as an electrician and construction professional, Tyler recognized solar as the industry where he could make the biggest impact, not just for businesses, but for the economy and communities of Western New York. What started in his South Buffalo living room in 2015 has evolved into a modern solar development and EPC company serving organizations across New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, and beyond.

Over the past 10 years, Buffalo Solar has grown from a local startup into a trusted regional partner, yet our approach remains hands-on and personal. From the first consultation through post-installation support, we stay closely connected to every client to ensure their system is reliable, efficient, and built for long-term value.

We care so deeply about the businesses we serve that we developed our own in-house 15-Year Peace of Mind Warranty, providing unmatched protection that separates us from the rest of the industry.

Our vision is ambitious but simple, 1,000 businesses powered by Buffalo Solar by 2035. We have already come a long way from our beginnings in Western New York, and we are just getting started.

Role Overview

About the Role

Intraform is a growing real-estate development company focused on high-performance buildings that integrate clean-energy technologies and innovative financing strategies.

We are seeking a Capital Programs & Compliance Manager to manage the grants, incentives and financing programs supporting our development portfolio.

Working closely with our CFO and development team, you will manage funding opportunities from application through award, reimbursement, compliance and closeout. This is a senior individual-contributor role for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented and capable of independently managing complex programs with many requirements and deadlines.

Experience with NYSERDA, NY Green Bank, clean-energy incentives, real-estate development, affordable housing, government funding, construction draws, lender due diligence, solar, battery storage, electrification or tax-credit documentation is especially valuable but not required.

What Success Looks Like

You will ensure funding opportunities are identified and pursued on time, awards are properly administered, reimbursements and draws move efficiently, leadership has clear visibility into funding status, and project records remain compliant and audit-ready.

Most importantly: funding should never be lost because of a preventable missed deadline, documentation failure or compliance requirement.

Compensation: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and monitor opportunities from NYSERDA, NY Green Bank, utilities, government agencies and other funding sources.

  • Manage lender and funding-agency due diligence, reimbursements, draws and reporting.
  • Track pending, awarded, approved, collected and outstanding funding.
  • Maintain complete, audit-ready records and manage post-award compliance and closeout.
  • Identify potential compliance issues before they put funding at risk.

Ideal Background

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, public administration, real estate, construction, sustainability, energy or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience preferred in grants, incentives, public funding, economic development, project finance administration, real-estate development, clean energy or a related field.
  • Experience managing complex applications, reimbursements, contracts or compliance requirements.
